“I genuinely can’t put into words how grateful I am to have found this therapist. I’ve been seeing him for about three years, and he has consistently shown me what it means to have a therapist who truly cares. There was a point in my life when I genuinely felt like he was the only person in my corner, and I’ll never forget the compassion, patience, and support he showed me. He listens to understand, remembers the things that matter, and genuinely wants to see his clients succeed. He has gone above and beyond for me more times than I can count, while still being honest and challenging me when I need it. Finding a therapist who makes you feel truly heard, respected, supported, and cared for is incredibly special. I couldn’t recommend him enough. He is an amazing therapist and, beyond that, an incredibly good human being. I’ll always be grateful I found him.”

Getting to know Dr. Jon Frederick

You will find that I work hard to understand you and to help you better understand yourself and your relationships. I believe that every person has an inner potential for healthy growth and development, and my role as a counselor is to facilitate that growth. I provide a safe and nonjudgmental space to share and better understand your thoughts, feelings, and challenges. I see clients by telehealth throughout Colorado, Arizona, Virginia, and Nevada.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I take a wellness approach to mental health. I believe you can greatly improve your mental health and well-being by identifying and better using your existing strengths, resources, and sources of positive emotion in your life. We can also work on coping skills, interpersonal skills, and ways to modify unhelpful thoughts and behaviors.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I am personally committed to advocating for social justice, inclusion, tolerance, and kindness toward people of all cultural groups. Building meaningful and authentic relationships with diverse people is one of the most satisfying aspects of my work. Let's get started. Call today for a free consultation. (Please note that there are specialists who would be more helpful if you want therapy to focus on symptoms of ADHD, eating disorders, suicidal ideation or history of hospitalization for suicide attempts/ideation.)
