Psychotherapist
GA
I work with a wide variety of people—children, teenagers, families, university students, and seniors. My focus is helping clients navigate trauma-related issues, anxiety, depression, and the challenges of finding their power and voice in relationships and life decisions. My approach Most of my clients come with trauma-related symptoms—anxiety, depression, poor sleep, nightmares. I've worked with young people fresh from traumatic homes and older adults with unprocessed childhood traumas. Trauma treatment helps people take control of their lives, clarify identity, and strengthen decision-making. My focus I work with people impacted by trauma, whether they're young adults overwhelmed by decisions and self-image issues or older adults who've spent years believing untrue things about themselves. A significant part of treatment is helping you find your power: to set boundaries, determine preferences, and make decisions for yourself. My communication style I'm interactive with lots of questions. It's your session—you talk, I listen and ask more questions. Eventually you'll say, "That's a pretty good question." We focus on discovering information, determining how things work, and helping you find your power to improve executive functioning. My journey to mental healthcare I've worked in inpatient, outpatient, community mental health, and university counseling. My focus has evolved from serious mental illness to trauma work with young adults navigating identity, relationships, and adulting. Now I work with older adults addressing unresolved childhood issues, medical concerns, and mortality. My goals for you We start with questions to sort out why you're coming and what you need. Goals often evolve as you explore what's really happening. I create space where you can talk about what's on your mind—ideas you won't voice anywhere else. This helps you clarify beliefs, discard old ideas, and feel comfortable setting boundaries.
