Getting to know Jonas Goldenberg

Hi there, I'm Jonas! I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) and psychotherapist in Central MA. I hold a Master’s in Social Work from Boston University. I use telehealth to meet with clients statewide. I provide clinical services to adults from 18–80+ dealing with issues such as stress, anxiety, depression, and others. I use a range of therapeutic models and practices to meet their specific needs and goals. My approach I view every client and concern as unique. The first essential element of our work together is developing a trusting and caring relationship. Using various models and techniques based on each client’s strengths and goals leads to the best outcomes. When suitable, I may use a strength-based and trauma-focused approach, apply culturally sensitive and solution-focused techniques, and draw from behavioral, psychodynamic, gestalt, coaching, and other therapeutic models. My focus In addition to the inner turmoil and emotions from stress and depression, managing transitions, pressures, and challenges during different life stages—from young adulthood to older age—can be difficult. My experience includes helping individuals with stress, anxiety, depression, grief, self-esteem, men’s issues, career/college/graduate school concerns, managing change, and family issues. I use these and other skills to help clients address their issues, enhance their circumstances, and lead more fulfilling lives. My communication style Building trust and a warm working relationship with each client are key to my communication style. I listen intently without judging, encourage open communication, and create a welcoming environment, even virtually. My journey to mental healthcare Growing up with a social worker mother and a disabled father, I have always wanted to be in the "helping" profession.
