Psychotherapist
CA
In my years as a therapist, I have realized the importance of acknowledging individuals for who they are. I provide an environment where individuals can see what they don’t usually permit themselves to see. I do this within the Internal Family Systems (IFS) model, which reconnects the individual with their authentic Self. IFS therapy is a compassionate, curious process that allows individuals to dialogue and reconnect with their disowned and injured parts. Internal Family Systems is an internal process of Self-discovery. My therapeutic approach is based on core principles from my eclectic background: (1) each person possesses a healthy inner core, a deeper connection to the Self; (2) sharing one's inner qualities with others helps discover the benefits of this connection; and (3) while fulfillment and happiness are not guaranteed, meaning and purpose are available regardless of circumstances. I focus on individuals who reach a point where a deeper aspect asks, "Who am I?" This question often begins a journey to find purpose, meet their shadow, and seek a more fulfilling life. My communication style centers on the individual and is curious about who they are and how I can assist. The environment I create is compassionate, straightforward, acknowledging, and reassuring, ensuring the individual feels safe to reveal, express, and emote in their discovery of Self. My goals for you are to acknowledge who you are, become comfortable within yourself, and live life to the fullest. In our first session, we will explore how therapy can help you work through difficult times and heal past traumas. Therapy is especially beneficial during life transitions or when you feel stuck. I hold a PhD in Psychology from La Sierra University and a Master’s in Psychology from California Southern University, which inform and enrich my practice.
