My approach is warm and caring, with attention to my client's unique needs, past experiences, and aspirations. I incorporate methods from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy to support healing and growth. My practice specializes in helping those struggling with past traumas, relational issues, and life transitions. I believe that everyone should feel safe and comfortable in therapy, regardless of their background, identity, or beliefs. I welcome and support individuals from all walks of life. My communication style is open and engaging. I create a welcoming and safe place to talk and to be heard. My journey to becoming a therapist was long and convoluted, including other careers and raising children. Finally, in later life, I have arrived. This is my passion. I take great pride in being a trusted partner in my clients' journeys, and my goal is to make a meaningful and lasting impact on their lives. From the outset of therapy, I help clients develop goals and a desired outcome for therapy. We continue to work collaboratively to modify and assess our progress throughout our time together. The main focus of our first session is developing comfort. I ask questions and encourage you to ask me questions. We start the process of getting to know each other and begin discovering how we might best approach the concerns that brought you into therapy.
