My approach I focus on using cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to help you identify and reframe negative thoughts. My approach is practical and collaborative, giving you tools to feel more in control. I like to incorporate other techniques, such as mindfulness and stress management tools, depending on your unique needs and expectations. My focus Are you a burned-out student, parent, or young adult trying to survive in the chaos of life? Are you a woman dealing with health issues, fatigue, and self-doubt? I have dedicated my career to working with youth and women, and you are my ideal client. I also have a strong desire to serve the Spanish-speaking and Latino population. My communication style I prefer honest, open communication to create a supportive, non-judgmental environment. I practice active listening and will give you opportunities to reflect on your experiences in life and in session. If we’re working through something challenging, you can expect me to be calm and patient. I am open to your honest feedback as well. My journey to mental healthcare Growing up in a home with immigrant parents and living through their struggles definitely influenced my career path. Both parents experienced anxiety and depression, and there were no Hispanic or Spanish-speaking providers nearby. It was so out of reach for my parents to get treatment, and it was the hardest thing to see them suffer. My goals for you Goal setting is a collaborative effort, and I seek to help you set realistic and clear goals for treatment.
