Hi, I'm Josh Turov, Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist. I believe therapy can heal, but I also understand that sharing your deepest pain with a stranger can feel strange. I value a therapeutic environment grounded in empathy, respect, and trust. I've seen therapy work, and I feel fortunate to be part of that journey for others. My approach Successful therapy requires a safe and supportive therapeutic relationship. Perhaps you’ve been feeling sad, depressed, worried, or hopeless that anything in your life can change. Or maybe you’re unsure what you want help with—you know you feel bad, but if someone asked, “How can I help?” you might not know what to say. These problems can feel permanent and unsolvable. When something feels broken and unfixable, it’s understandable that it takes all your energy just to get up and go about your day. Depression and anxiety can also feel isolating, as if no one else could possibly understand. You may have even received advice from well-meaning people who don’t truly grasp what you’re going through. Depression and anxiety are not permanent or unfixable, and therapy can help. Imagine feeling peace of mind and excitement about life and its possibilities. It starts by learning about you and moving at your pace. As an LMFT with over 17 years of experience working with adults and teens, I know therapy can work, and I believe in people. I use a variety of methods including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Experiential Therapy, and Object Relations. What these methods are called isn’t what matters most. Therapy works best when there’s understanding and trust, when you feel valued and respected, and when you have the chance to be the expert on your story. Our goal will be to understand the problem and its history, uncover and honor your strengths, and realize the possibilities ahead.
