My name is Joy, and I have been in the mental health field since 2015. My first professional experiences were with grief counseling and restorative justice intervention. These experiences showed me the power of connection, and I am committed to using our relationship to help you heal.
The first step in effective tinkering is to look at all the parts because all parts are valuable. I use a combination of techniques from humanistic, neuroscience-based, attachment theory, and solution-focused approaches to help you explore relationships, emotions, identity, and purpose. Whether it’s grief, trauma, neurodivergence, anxiety, or depression, we will collaborate to develop a customized plan. I’ll provide a comfortable space with my authenticity, a safe place to grow with curiosity, and honest humanity with humor.
I was born and raised in rural Colorado. I’ve earned degrees from Front Range Community College, CU Boulder, and a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern University.
