"Hello, I'm Juana. Are you feeling stressed out, anxious, or experiencing an irritable mood that leads to anger? Do you feel stuck, lost, or unmotivated? Are you struggling to heal from a traumatic event, even from childhood? If you've tried to solve these problems on your own and realized you need help, you've made the right choice by being here. Seeking help can be hard, and you may have hesitated due to shame, embarrassment, or cultural beliefs. Let's work together to equip you with the tools to face and overcome your challenges. Whether you're struggling with trauma, anxiety, depression, or anger, you don't have to be alone on this journey. As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), I've had the privilege of assisting people in their growth and transformation. It has been an honor to serve with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, helping fellow Veterans work through their PTSD from combat and Military Sexual Trauma (MST). I've also worked at several non-profit agencies in the local community, providing services for men and women experiencing anger issues, depression, and anxiety related to domestic violence and childhood sexual trauma. Additionally, I've worked with adolescents and their families struggling with substance abuse. From these experiences, I understand that no two individuals are the same, so I use a variety of evidence-based approaches in my therapy practice. Our sessions will be tailored to address challenges unique to you. Together, we'll identify and understand the root cause of your struggles and address them with long-lasting strategies, helping you get closer to the life you've always wanted. I enjoy working with individuals, children (preferably ages 10 and up), couples, and families concerned with mood and mental health issues. I specialize in anxiety, depression, anger, and trauma.
