Getting to know Judea Castillo Winter
Hello and welcome,
My primary approach to practice is based on Humanistic Psychology with an emphasis on Strength Based approaches, along with CBT, DBT, EMDR, IFS and Mindfulness. I started out as a psych major (BA) and later went into social work with a Master's in Social Work to gain a broad perspective. I also hold a PhD, in Psychology. I am licensed in Montana, Kentucky, Michigan and Ohio as a LCSW and LISW respectively. I am comfortable working with a broad range, age, background and culture. Often, in therapy, it can be a little tough in the beginning, before you feel better. I have found that sometimes talking about these issues make them real, concrete, which can be very scary. My virtual office is a safe place. There is no judgement. I can work with different situations and work as a team or more of a guide to find the answers in you.

More information on payments and coverage
Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
