Hi there, I'm Judy!
My name is Judy Manfredi. I am a licensed marriage and family therapist in the state of California. I earned my Master’s in Psychology from Chapman University in Orange. I have provided therapeutic services for 12 years in both non-profit and county organizations throughout my career. I worked with adolescents on a grant from the State of California in Child Abuse Treatment for the first nine years of my career. The last few years have been focused on adolescents and adults dealing with trauma, anxiety, depression, and ADD/ADHD.
My approach
I often utilize a client-centered approach to collaborate with clients and their families, supporting them through the therapeutic relationship and helping each client build on their existing strengths. I come from a background of utilizing CBT, DBT, Solution Focused, and EMDR modalities. I support teens, adults, dependent adults, and LGBTQ+ individuals who struggle with trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, anger, gender/sexual orientation, and relationship issues.
My focus
I have been trained in TF-CBT (trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy) and EMDR (eye movement desensitization reprocessing). I have taken extensive training in trauma, major depressive disorders, and anxiety disorders. Throughout my work, I have been an advocate and resource for the LGBTQ+ community.
My communication style
I focus on you, the client, and what is happening to you at the moment. In addition to listening to what you're saying, I make eye contact and observe body language, behavior, and tone of voice to be fully present with you and help you feel comfortable while describing personal situations that cause stress and mental health challenges.
