Getting to know Julia Morgan

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, specializing in Anxiety, Mood Disorders, Parenting Support, Relationships, Life Transitions, and Grief. With over 31 Years of experience, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker passionate about helping individuals and families navigate life’s challenges with clarity, resilience, and renewed purpose. What should a new client know about working with you?

My therapeutic approach integrates evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Positive Psychology, and Motivational Interviewing and Mindfulness. Together, we will work to build insight, foster emotional regulation, and highlight your strengths so you can move forward with confidence and balance. I specialize in working with adults, teens, and parents experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship issues, parenting stress, grief, and difficult life transitions. Whether you’re struggling with overwhelming emotions, communication issues, or the demands of parenting, I provide a safe place to heal.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My approach to therapy will be to listen, be non-judgmental, and help you focus on getting out of therapy what you need and want. I offer a down-to-earth space where we work together to understand what's going on and find practical tools that actually fit your life. My style blends proven approaches like CBT and DBT with a focus on what matters most to you, whether it's managing anxiety, navigating relationships, healing from grief, improving parenting, of finding more balance day to day. My path to becoming a therapist began with experiences working with children, adolescents, and adults in school programs and in social services. Seeing the struggle of others and their ability to change, heal, and overcome extremely difficult obstacles in life has touched me profoundly. I have committed my life to growing and learning for the purpose of helping others. We will develop your goals for therapy together. I believe in your resiliency and ability to find solutions that work. I am open to feedback and will always work on your behalf to make the work we do together the most meaningful for you.
