Psychotherapist

Hey! How’s it going? I'm Julianne Moreno and it’s nice to meet you. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (Lic #114450) currently practicing in California. I studied and trained at SDSU followed by a 4-year stint at the Esalen Institute in Big Sur, where I learned to specialize in Relational Gestalt Psychotherapy with a focus on women, children, and families. My approach I see therapy as a partnership! It’s my job to help guide you and bring in tools I’ve learned along the way. It’s your job to bring the issues to the table and decide when you’re ready to work them out! My focus I see therapy as a partnership providing insight, support, and guidance. I don’t only focus on difficult times but think it is ALWAYS a good time to tackle those next-level goals. My communication style Through direct feedback, support, and genuine care, I provide clients with a safe space to process, explore, and grow. The feedback I get the most is that I am “kind, but direct”. I agree! My journey to mental healthcare I became a therapist because my own personal journey with therapy changed my life. I wholeheartedly, and from experience, believe in the power of kindness, compassion, empathy, and each person’s ability to change! My goals for you Partnership. Like I said, therapy is a place where we’ll work together to set AND achieve goals that help make you the best YOU possible. My first session with you First sessions are kinda boring. Sorry! It’s all about information and assessment though, so super important!
