CA
Hi there, I'm Julianne! Hello and welcome! I am Juli Sims, LCSW 28368 (CA). I earned my Master’s in Social Work from California State University, Stanislaus, and have been a licensed clinical social worker for over 10 years. Throughout this time, I have worked with children, adults, and families. I specialize in working with individuals who have experienced trauma, specifically childhood trauma. I am strength-based and compassionate. I do the work every day for myself, having experienced postpartum depression and anxiety. My approach I am primarily strength-based and solution-focused. I meet people where they are and incorporate aspects of cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, or narrative therapy—whatever works to help someone along their path to wellness. My focus Most of my experience is working with women and women’s issues, such as menopause, relationship challenges, trauma/abuse, daily stressors, self-esteem, and parenting. I also have experience working with children and families where children have experienced trauma or neglect. My communication style I strive to create a welcoming environment. I appreciate humor and use it in my approach with individuals and families. I am honest and transparent. My journey to therapy I enjoy helping others. I’ve been in the social work field for over 25 years, and providing therapy has been the most rewarding work for me. I love witnessing people’s growth, resilience, and strength—it’s truly inspirational. My goals for you Clients lead goal setting. If needed, I provide guidance and encouragement, and I hold clients accountable when support is needed to stay on track. My first session with you Initially, we’ll discuss what brought you to therapy, your goals, and I’ll explain my methods and experience. I strongly believe in the therapist-client relationship and want to ensure you feel comfortable moving forward.
