Julie Bork, LMFT

Psychotherapist
CA
Hello, my name is Julie Padula. I am a Marriage and Family Therapist and Registered Art Therapist based in Los Angeles, California, where I work with clients statewide via telehealth. I take a collaborative approach to therapy, supporting your process through talking, art making, breath work, somatic experiencing, or simply listening. Your therapeutic journey will be a unique reflection of who you are and what your goals are. My approach I have an eclectic approach to therapy that varies based on my clients’ needs. I consider myself a Person-Centered therapist but also use an array of modalities such as Mindfulness (DBT), Gestalt, Somatic Experiencing, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. As an art therapist, I believe there are many ways to explore and express oneself. Art making combined with any modality can create a powerful therapeutic experience—and you don’t have to be an artist to do art therapy. It’s a great way to explore beyond words. My focus I work with anxiety, depression, grief, sexual trauma, women’s issues, relationship challenges, low self-esteem, addiction, and codependency. My communication style I bring a warm and conversational tone to my sessions. My intention is to create a safe space through compassion, understanding, and acceptance. My journey to mental healthcare I wanted to become a therapist because I believe that embarking on a therapeutic journey is a spiritual experience. To better yourself, know yourself, and find yourself is sacred work. Supporting people in this way is deeply fulfilling. My goals for you I will ask you what your goals are and support you in fine-tuning anything that seems unclear. Together, we can identify steps that will help you reach those goals. My first session with you Our first session will focus on building a connection.
