Hi there, I'm Julie! I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with a Master’s in Professional Counseling from Liberty University and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. I desire to help people gain insight into the reasons they may be experiencing difficulties in their lives. Awareness allows us to see options that give hope to difficult circumstances. I have experience working with teens, men, women, and married couples. My approach I use a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Person-Centered Therapy to help people reach their goals. My focus I enjoy working with married couples and individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, relationships, and circumstances causing stress in their lives. My communication style In a safe environment with someone who cares, clients can explore options and then choose how they can move forward healthier and stronger. My journey to mental healthcare Finding counseling personally helpful in my life years ago inspired me to go back to school to learn how to help others develop coping skills and ways of thinking that make it easier to manage difficulties in their lives. Watching people find freedom in their own process is what drives me to keep doing this work. My goals for you I do not have an agenda for my clients. I believe it is my job to come alongside people to help them reach the goals that are important to them. My first session with you When I first meet with a client, I want to allow them to tell their story and share what they hope to get out of the counseling process so I can better assess their goals.
