Julie Hirsch, LMFT

Psychotherapist
CA
Hello! My name is Julie Hirsch, and I'm a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT131536). We all tell ourselves stories. I see therapy as a place where we examine your story together, imagine new possible narratives, and discover the parts of yourself that are resilient and capable of change. My approach I tailor treatment to clients? needs, integrating various therapeutic approaches such as attachment-based therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT). I have training in CBT and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and am certified in TF-CBT, an evidence-based, short-term treatment for children and adolescents with trauma-related symptoms. My focus I have experience working with children, teens, and adults. I most enjoy working with adults of all ages struggling with stress, grief and loss, trauma, depression, anxiety, relational issues, life transitions, and childhood neglect or abuse. My communication style Each therapeutic relationship is rooted in building a supportive and trusting connection. My approach is collaborative and integrates practical techniques to reduce stress, regulate emotions, develop coping strategies, and modify behaviors. The goal is to create a safe space for healing and to develop the skills, confidence, and renewed hope needed for positive, lasting change. My journey to mental healthcare I find it deeply meaningful to support people through pain and witness their movement toward healing. With over twenty years in mental health as an advocate, case manager, and in program development, I realized I most enjoy working one-on-one in therapy. This work is an incredible privilege, and I look forward to it every day. I hold a Master?s in Psychology from Antioch University. My goals for you Some clients I work with are clear on their goals for therapy.
