Getting to know Julie Williams

You do not have to live like this anymore. Have you been stuck or struggling for so long that it's hard to imagine your life feeling any differently? Maybe you're not even sure why you're feeling the way you do. Or, you know why but feel like you can't say it out loud to anyone you know. I help adults with depression, anxiety, and trauma break out of dysfunctional patterns with compassion and scientifically proven strategies. Let's get your sleep, relationships, job, school, parenting, friendships, hobbies, health, eating, and happiness back on track—without those pesky intrusive or racing thoughts, flashbacks, panic attacks, self-hatred, and dread. It sounds simple, but it won't be easy. I often describe therapy like surgery: it is usually necessary to address a problem deep inside that may require a messy, costly, painful, inconvenient process that can ultimately save your life. You really don't have to live like this anymore. I am here to help you heal for good. I hold an MSEd in College Counseling from Youngstown State University, which informs my compassionate and evidence-based approach. **Sliding Scale Available**

What should a new client know about working with you?

Our first session together is spent covering some of the basics of therapy like confidentiality and its limits. Then we will talk (to the extent you're comfortable) about your goals for therapy as well as your strengths. It's always good for me to know if you've been to therapy before and what has helped or not helped in the past as well. If you enjoy walking away from sessions with homework, we can develop that together. For others, it's an insight or question to consider until our next session.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
