Justine Whitten, LMFT

Psychotherapist
CA
Hi there, I'm Justine! My name is Justine Whitten, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist based in Napa, California, offering services statewide via telehealth. I hold a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Sofia University. I work with adults and specialize in PTSD/C-PTSD, Anxiety, Depression, and PCOS. I apply a variety of approaches to support each client in getting the individualized care they deserve. My approach My approach is person-centered, considering a person’s mind, physical being, social self, spirituality, and emotional health during treatment. This perspective allows me to create a safe, inclusive, and non-judgmental space for clients to explore all aspects of who they are. I frequently use a combination of Brainspotting, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Trauma-Informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to support our work together. My focus My style works well for adults feeling lost, overwhelmed, and burnt out. These feelings often present as stress, anxiety, depression, and trauma. I also work with clients who have health diagnoses impacting their well-being, including PCOS, Endometriosis, and chronic illness. My communication style One of the most important parts of therapy is the bond and trust formed with a client. My communication is empathetic, caring, and transparent. I work to make clients feel comfortable sharing their world with me. It is my job to hold hope for my clients and, at times, hold up a mirror for them. My journey to mental healthcare From a young age, I have wanted to help others. Seeing my clients grow and heal is what brings me joy. My goals for you I enjoy creating attainable goals that empower clients to move toward the life they want to live. I am a firm believer that clients are experts in their own experience. Together, we create a path toward healing and resolution with the past.
