It can be hard to find the right therapist, and once you do, it can be difficult to articulate your needs in a session. With your permission, I would like to journey with you in a supportive, safe, nonjudgmental space that makes it easier. Together, we will work to create an atmosphere where you can openly express yourself and become the best authentic version of yourself. I hold a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Marist College, which has equipped me with the skills and knowledge to support you on this path.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Whether you are going through a change, or dealing with everyday life stressors, you will not be alone. If you are interested in an individual approach to therapy, and wish to improve your wellbeing, I am the therapist for you! I believe that each individual is the architect of their life, therefore, I utilize a person-centered holistic approach with a focus in existentialism and mindfulness to empower you to create the life you want. I am a first generation American of Brazilian descent and I speak fluent conversational Portuguese. I have a variety of real life and professional experiences that enable me to work effectively with people struggling with chemical dependency, issues with the legal system, racial and ethnic experiences, identity, and most mental health concerns including mood, and anxiety issues. The practice will send you an email to complete intake via Simple Practice. The Intake form must be filled out completely prior to your appointment and a credit card must be provided as per the practice’s cancellation policy (cancellations must be made before 24 hours of the appointment). Also, there are no psychiatrists or other providers who prescribe medications at this practice.

Together, we will engage in self-reflection, challenge negative thoughts/behaviors, and learn to embrace all positive facets of yourself. I look forward to working with you to reach your unique goals on your path of growth and healing.
