Kambria Caldwell, LMFT

Psychotherapist
CA
I am licensed in CA (#88546) and NV (2610-R). I specialize in Complex Trauma, Situational Depression, Relationship Issues, and School or Job-Related Stress. I use the principles of narrative therapy, CBT, and DBT to create an individualized treatment plan that works best for you. My approach is person-centered and eclectic. The most common theoretical approaches I use are Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Change is hard, but I find that my eclectic and person-centered style can help make those difficult transitions more manageable. I enjoy collaborating with my clients and getting to know them organically. I strive to help my clients feel comfortable through friendly conversation and a bit of humor. I earned my Master’s in Counseling Psychology from Argosy University – Los Angeles. Growing up in South Los Angeles, I developed a strong sense of culture and community among Black and Brown people, along with a deep respect for the struggles of BIPOC. I was surrounded by artists, musicians, poets, leaders, givers, and eccentrics from all walks of life. During this time, I discovered how much I enjoyed listening to people, problem-solving, and motivating others to succeed and explore their authentic selves. I began as a mentor in undergrad, inspiring young people of color to attend college and think outside the box about their futures. I continued working with children, teens, and adults with special needs until I secured an internship at a nonprofit mental health agency in South Los Angeles. After obtaining my license as a marriage and family therapist, I continued to grow as a clinician, supervisor, and manager at the nonprofit while also taking on teen and adult clients in private practice. My goal for you is progress—something we agree upon collaboratively.
