Getting to know Dr. Kameron Sheats

Hello! My name is Dr. Kameron Sheats and I am a licensed clinical psychologist in the state of Georgia. I help high achieving and ambitious women navigate life stressors and mental health concerns using the Cognitive-Behavioral Model of therapy. I create a space in which you can bring your full self to therapy for the purposes of reaching the goals you’ve set for yourself. I completed my Ph.D. at the University of Georgia, and completed my APA-accredited internship at Howard University Counseling Service, Howard University Hospital, and the Child Guidance Clinic in the Washington, D.C. Superior Court system. I am experienced in providing individual therapy, group therapy, and psychological and psychoeducational assessments.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Clients who are mostly likely to find a good fit with me are those who identify as ambitious and high-achieving women. My own experiences uniquely position me to understand some of the challenges and nuances that high-achieving women face. I specialize in supporting clients as they address stressors related to life transitions and mental health challenges such as depression and anxiety. Common client issues include job stress, transition to college and young adulthood, parenting and family relationship challenges, confidence and self-esteem issues, and experiences of racism and discrimination. I also help clients identify barriers that hinder them from achieving their life goals and maintaining a sense of emotional health and wholeness.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
