Getting to know Karen Beresh

Hello, my name is Karen. I am an Independent Psychotherapist in Cincinnati, Ohio. I earned a Master's in Mental Health and Addictions from the University of Pennsylvania through their advanced standing program, completing it in one year. Prior to that, I graduated with honors from Northern Kentucky University with a Bachelor's degree. I take great pride and passion in helping individuals and couples who may be struggling with chronic stress, depression, anxiety, addiction, relationship issues, PTSD, and complex trauma. My clients range in age, and I utilize a multi-dimensional approach to the therapeutic process. I have worked with diverse populations, providing integrated services in clinical, outpatient, inpatient, and school settings, as well as with the homeless population. I have experience working with all socio-economic backgrounds, cultures, disabilities, and religious beliefs. I wholeheartedly believe in creating a therapeutic atmosphere that is professional yet respectful, where we can establish and build rapport in a trusting and safe space.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

I can’t just pick two in the above question. She is also funny, comforting, solution oriented, she gets where I am coming from and helps me. She doesn’t tell me what I want to hear, she tells me the truth. She listens to me and tells me like it is. She doesn’t just listen and let you talk. She listens and talks to help you. She gives exactly the type of therapy I have been needing and looking for. Karen Baresh is helping me very much and I will continue to see her as I need her. I recommend her services
