Getting to know Karen Blinder

I serve clients who are in transitions and who genuinely want to gain insight into their challenges and find solutions. My ideal client is highly motivated to increase self-awareness through treatment. I am a seasoned clinician with clinical experience dating back to 1986. I have treated clients of all ages, beginning with a specialty in clients over age 65. Over the past 18 years, I have expanded my practice to include couples, family situations, adolescents, and adults ages 18 and up, as well as children as young as 4. I have worked with anxiety, depression, ADHD, life transitions, work and family issues, and school-related concerns. I have extensive experience treating couples and have helped many clients manage stress more effectively. My approach empowers clients to problem-solve so they can better manage their situations and improve their lives. I provide insight-oriented treatment that fosters increased self-awareness while offering strong support. I hold a Master’s in Social Work from Yeshiva University, which has provided a solid foundation for my clinical work and commitment to client-centered care.

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
