Psychotherapist
24 W Main St, Ste 223, Lehi, UT
Sometimes emotions, relationships, or past experiences begin to feel overwhelming. Whether you are seeking support for yourself or your child, therapy can offer a safe place to slow down, make sense of difficult feelings, and begin learning tools that support healing, connection, and growth. If you are facing these kinds of struggles, Kari Done is here to support you on your journey. Kari Done is a social work intern currently pursuing her Master's in Social Work at Utah State University, building on a Bachelor's degree in Marriage and Family Studies from Brigham Young University-Idaho. Kari is passionate about creating a safe, welcoming, and non-judgmental environment where clients feel comfortable exploring their experiences and developing practical tools for change. Kari works frequently with children and understands that therapy needs to be engaging in order for kids to truly open up and process their emotions. Through play, creative expression, and interactive activities, she helps children stay involved in the therapeutic process while learning skills to navigate anxiety, big emotions, life changes, and relationship challenges. These approaches allow children to communicate experiences that can be difficult to put into words while developing healthier ways to understand and manage their emotions. As a mother, former foster parent, post-adoptive parent, and trauma-informed caregiver, Kari brings both professional knowledge and lived experience into her clinical work. She specializes in building nurturing therapeutic relationships rooted in trust, attachment, and connection. Kari approaches therapy from a strength-based, trauma-informed perspective and integrates several evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), play therapy, and sand tray therapy.
