TX
Hi, I'm Karla Ayers, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Southern Nazarene University. I am glad that you have decided to take the first step toward therapy. I am certain that you can improve areas of your life through therapy, and I will be with you every step of the way, providing the information, support, and encouragement needed on this journey. My approach My approach is solution-focused. I work with you to help find answers to the issues causing difficulty, no matter how large or small they seem. I provide an open-minded and supportive setting while offering positive boundaries to help improve your well-being and life circumstances. My focus I have experience working with clients of all ages and backgrounds. I assist with depression, anxiety, ADHD, childhood trauma and neglect, adjustments to life circumstances, stress, school and workplace issues, and chronic health concerns. My communication style In working with clients, I want you to feel free to engage in discussions, ask questions, and, most importantly, be honest about whatever may be happening in your life. I strive to create a comfortable and relaxed therapy environment where you can truly express what is on your mind. My goal is for therapy to be beneficial by providing space to ask questions, express yourself, and feel comfortable engaging in the process. My journey to therapy My career as a therapist began long before college, when I worked with kids and youth as a teen. It seems we all want to be heard, but there is not always a space for that. Many of us mature into adulthood without feeling validated, with our emotions or voices negated or seen as insignificant. I want everyone to have the ability to express themselves and grow emotionally in a healthy, positive way.
