A warm welcome to you, I'm Karre Kern! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT), and Notary Public providing Telehealth in California, Maine, Virginia, and Florida. I hold a Master's in Social Work and a Bachelor's degree from the University of Southern Maine. My practice supports ages 9 and up with a wide range of difficulties including anxiety, stress, and trauma. I primarily utilize Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, with over 20 years of experience helping facilitate positive change within a diverse clientele.
My approach
I use a whole-person holistic approach, working compassionately and focused to meet your individual needs, promoting safety, healing, self-empowerment, and positive change. I have experience helping with grief, death and dying, trauma, substance misuse, adjustment and transitions, crisis, relationships, building positive patterns, adversity, anxiety, and depression. I will explore with you if EMDR is a good fit-I have lived experience with the transformative power of this therapy.

My journey to mental healthcare
My journey began in massage therapy with a home visit for a hospice client. When the LCSW visited and discussed the client's care, emotions, and needs, I said to myself, ?I want to do that, I want to help more.?
