Getting to know Kasey Coleman
My goal is to assist you with all that life throws your way, no matter how you identify or what you're going through. All are welcomed!
It is frustrating to live in a world where you often feel misunderstood or even like an outsider. I know what that is like. As a counselor who specializes in working with the LGBTQ+, Black, poly, and kink/BDSM communities, finding a counselor who aligns with your needs is not a foreign concept to me. Well, I am here to help because the truth is you are just exceptionally unique! My passion is to make mental health services more accessible to ALL, especially BIPOCs, and to provide a safe and affirming space to marginalized groups in hopes of assisting folx through life's many challenges while empowering them at the same time.
I have experience working with clients with a myriad of concerns. Whether you're struggling with depression, anxiety, life transitions, interpersonal relationships, or just trying to figure out who you are and what your life purpose is, you don't have to do it alone. I am happy to take that journey with you!
I hold a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Alabama, Birmingham, which has equipped me with the skills and knowledge to support you effectively.
What should a new client know about working with you?
At our first session, I will assess your needs and presenting concerns that brought you to counseling. From there, we will work together to create and establish measurable therapeutic goals to work towards achieving. My goal is for you to be proactive in setting your goals and to see the progress that you're making through your therapeutic journey. Moving forward, we will determine a consistent schedule based on your needs and goals to ensure you're getting the level of care that you need.

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
