Psychotherapist
CA
My name is Katharina Kienboeck, and I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University. I believe therapy can be an incredibly valuable space to find clarity, hope, and support when we need it most. Good conversations help us identify our values, strengths, the old stories we carry that no longer serve us, and the tools we can access and use toward the changes we seek. As a Narrative Therapist, I help create conversations that bring ease, strengths, and resources to the foreground, supporting the journey with warmth. I work with clients experiencing life transitions, depression, grief, anxiety, job stressors, or struggles with significant relationships. My approach I am trained in Narrative and solution-focused therapy. I also use mindfulness and neuropsychology tools to address emotional reactivity that might interfere with how and who we want to be in the world. I believe in the power of nature and spirituality as paths to wholeness that serve us both collectively and individually. My focus I work with people facing anxiety and/or depression, navigating life transitions, feeling stuck in relationship patterns, and those working through uprooting racism. My communication style Our conversations will encourage acts of self-care as much as moments of laughter. I gently support you in your therapy goals through clarifying questions, attentive listening, and by offering learning tools and skills to help you find a new path. My journey to mental healthcare I have always loved being present for conversations that invite reflection, presence, and transformation. Healing happens when we feel seen, allow space to reflect on what truly matters, and slow down enough to take care of ourselves. Taking care of ourselves enables us to be more present for our communities and the world around us.
