“I've worked with Kate for many years and I feel so comfortable. I can share the worst parts of me and feel safe and not judged. She asks questions that really help guide me to explore what I am experiencing and work through it. I've had a lot of ups and downs but going to Kate every week and having that support helped me process what I was going through and feel lighter and clearer by the end of sessions. Would and have recommended Kate to friends and family. ”

“I remember walking into one session feeling completely overwhelmed and not even knowing where to start. Katherine just sat with me, listened, and somehow helped me untangle everything without making me feel rushed or judged. By the end of the session, I felt calmer, lighter, and way more grounded than when I walked in. She has this rare ability to make you feel truly seen and understood. Therapy with her feels human, warm, and real—and it’s made a huge difference for me.”

What should a new client know about working with you?

My therapeutic style is warm, grounded, and collaborative. Patients often share that they feel comfortable quickly and value having both a supportive space to speak openly and thoughtful insight that helps them better understand themselves and make meaningful changes. If you’re looking for a therapist who is present, reflective, and deeply invested in your well-being, I would be glad to support you. I work virtually, making therapy accessible wherever you are. I partner with patients to create a supportive, collaborative space to navigate challenges and foster growth.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My approach is collaborative, thoughtful, and tailored to each client. I focus on creating a warm, non-judgmental space where you can feel comfortable being yourself from the very first session. In our first session, we’ll talk about what’s bringing you in now, what you’re hoping to change, and any past experiences with therapy. I’ll ask questions to understand your relationships, stressors, patterns, and strengths, while also leaving room for what feels most important for you to share. Together, we’ll identify initial goals and what feeling “better” would actually look like in your day-to-day life. As therapy continues, sessions are guided by your goals and paced to meet your needs. I use a holistic, insight-oriented approach grounded in a psychoanalytic perspective, while also integrating practical tools when helpful. This means we may explore how past experiences and unconscious patterns influence your present relationships, emotions, and decisions, while also focusing on coping strategies you can use between sessions. Over time, therapy becomes a space to build self-understanding, emotional flexibility, and healthier ways of relating to yourself and others. I regularly check in about what’s working, adjust our focus as needed, and encourage open feedback so therapy remains effective and meaningful for you. Many clients find that this process helps them feel more grounded, gain clarity, and make lasting changes—both internally and in their relationships.

Kate has been such a lifeline during one of the most overwhelming semesters I've had. Between juggling classes, papers, and exams, I was completely burnt out and anxious all the time. Kate really gets it—she doesn't just nod along; she actually listens and helps me work through what's going on beneath all the stress. She's given me practical tools to manage my anxiety when deadlines pile up, and I've learned how to be less hard on myself when things feel impossible. Every session leaves me feeling calmer and more capable of handling everything on my plate. If you're a student drowning in pressure, I can't recommend her enough.
Kate is warm, thoughtful, and truly listens. She creates a space where I feel understood and supported, and her guidance has helped me make meaningful changes in my life, especially with past trauma that triggers anxiety in my daily life. I always leave sessions feeling lighter and more grounded. Highly recommend.
