Katherine Miller, LMFT

Psychotherapist
FL
I'm Katie Miller, a marriage and family therapist with 7 years of experience, specializing in ADHD, PTSD, trauma, adjustment disorders, depression, and anxiety. I hold a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Stetson University. As a wife and mother, I bring personal insight and dedication to helping families thrive by focusing on finding their authentic selves. When I'm off, I enjoy meditating, reading, walking, spending time with friends and family, swimming, and playing with my son, Lucas. My approach My counseling approach is integrative, drawing from a wide range of techniques to suit each unique client relationship. I work collaboratively with clients to set goals and use methods that best support their journey. I primarily lean towards person-centered, solution-focused, cognitive behavioral, and embodiment work. My focus I work with individuals eager to learn and uncover more about themselves. My experience includes ADHD, PTSD, trauma, adjustment disorders, depression, and anxiety. My communication style I provide a relaxing environment that supports the deep work needed for meaningful progress. Clients can expect a warm and inviting tone, though I will be direct and challenge when necessary to encourage growth. My journey to mental healthcare I became a therapist after experiencing a tragic accident as a teenager in which I lost my mother and brothers. This profound loss inspired me to help others navigating pain. I wanted to support individuals through their toughest moments and help them find joy and happiness again after hardship. My goals for you I am direct about goal setting and emphasize SMART goals—specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound. I help clients establish these goals and consistently revisit them to track progress toward their desired outcomes.
