Psychotherapist

I recognize that if you are looking into finding the right individual to be your therapist, that you are very likely navigating some really hard things. I want you to know that I've been there. I am a mom, a sober person, and a woman who has worked really hard to heal her relationship with her body. One of my golden rules to being a therapist is to never ask a client to do something that I wouldn't be willing to do (or haven't already done) myself. I am passionate about supporting my clients in their journey towards health, healing, and helping each individual take the steps needed to have the life they've always dreamt of. My approach First and foremost, I want to get to know you as an individual who is already doing a fantastic job of surviving. I am a strengths-based therapist, meaning I will look for the wisdom you already carry, and we will build those existing strengths into your resiliencey super-power! I also place a high value on a strong therapeutic bond and safety within the therapy setting, meaning our trust in each other and in the process must be established before the deeper work can be tackled. I am EMDR-trained and specialize in addressing the underlying trauma that often goes hand-in-hand with substance abuse and addiction. My focus Have you been successful in putting together some days in sobriety, but are now feeling the weight of all that you've endured and survived before, during, and now after addiction? You might be ready to begin the deep work of addressing underlying trauma and attachment wounds that your substance use aimed to medicate. You've shown you're strong enough and dedicated to your recovery, which is AMAZING! I'm ready to walk with you in the part of your journey that aims to process those traumas that reside in your mind and body and get freedom from triggers and patterns that keep you stuck in the trauma cycle.
