Getting to know Katherine Walsh

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with a Master of Arts in Expressive Therapies and Mental Health Counseling. I have completed intensive and advanced training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. I am a certified yoga teacher and recently completed facilitator training in Energy Codes.

What should a new client know about working with you?

It is my goal to meet each of my clients where they are at in their personal journey. It is important to create sacred space to build therapeutic rapport. I provide support and skills that help my clients be in the present moment with awareness and intention. I utilize a combination of modalities including but not limited to dialectical behavioral therapy, art therapy, yoga, and energy codes to support my clients in meeting their individual goals.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

In our first session I want to learn about you and what brings you to therapy, but I also want you to sense what it feels like to sit with me. I believe that it is important to find a "good match" to ensure a feeling of safety and alliance.
