UpLift Behavioral Health reserves the right to limit the types of medications that may be prescribed by its doctors and nurse practitioners. All prescriptions furnished by UpLift Behavioral Health care providers are issued in accordance with applicable federal and state law as well as UpLift Behavioral Health policy. After 25 years of counseling, I have discovered that most of us were never given tools for healthy living. These include coping skills, stress management, knowing how to grieve, problem-solving, assertiveness, and healthy boundaries, just to name a few. These are all essential no matter what we are dealing with in our daily lives. My approach to counseling is non-judgmental, compassionate, and empathetic. None of us are perfect. All of us experience hardships, breakups, problems with children, mood swings, anxiety, and more at some point in our lives. There is help and, more importantly, there is hope. We can heal, learn new skills, and create new brain memories. I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, as well as bachelor’s degrees from both the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and the University of Alaska.
