Getting to know Kathleen McCarrick

Hello, I am Kathleen. Do you feel overwhelmed, burnt out, or pulled in a million different directions? Are you struggling with your relationships, work, or health? Is it difficult for you to find time for yourself, let alone be kind to yourself? Do you feel "stuck" and unable to move forward? Many of us experience loneliness, depression, anxiety, and social isolation, so it is important to make caring for yourself a priority. Therapy can help you feel more connected, balanced, and peaceful. Together, we can identify what is not working and regain a sense of balance. We'll use a holistic approach, addressing the needs of your body, mind, and spirit. We will develop a "toolbox" of coping skills and create new insights and awareness to help you become a happier and healthier version of yourself. Seeking therapy can feel threatening, but it is one of the greatest gifts you can give to yourself-and by doing so, also give to others. In our sessions, I will meet you with kindness, compassion, humor, and evidence-based modalities so you can overcome obstacles and habits that may be holding you back. My goal as your therapist is to provide a safe, supportive, and empathic environment in which to work through current issues, conflicting relationships, and/or past pain. I hold a Master's in Social Work from Widener University, which informs my approach and commitment to your well-being. I look forward to meeting you and working together.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My goal for you is to leave our sessions feeling validated, empowered and uplifted as well as having developed new insights, awarenesses and coping skills to help you move forward in your journey towards health and happiness.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

I was very happy to find out that Kathleen understood everything that I said, including what I went through with adrenal fatigue for years until it really flared up last year. She seemed very relatable and I felt very comfortable talking with her. I would definitely recommend her.
She's been an amazing help for my daughter!
She is absolutely wonderful.
Each time I explained an issue I'm having I got back a clear and workable solution. I'm so grateful that I can share uncomfortable life situations with Kathleen. She is also very down to earth and does not come off with any attitude or as a now-it-all. She's not judgemental and I look forward to our appointments.
She’s awesome!
Easy to talk with, personable. Kathleen listens and understands the issue. She suggests coping skills and is encouraging with steps that can be taken to reduce symptoms.
Therapy with Kathleen so far has been inspiring and wonderfully effective. With her help I've clarified the issues I want to work on, and I've been able to take concrete steps to move out of my anxiety and feelings of wanting to give up. My confidence is on the rise!
