My name is Kathleen Monroe, and I possess a Master's Degree in Social Work from Loyola University Chicago. I am licensed in Clinical Social Work and hold a Certification as an Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Counselor in the state of Illinois. I have worked with clients struggling with anxiety, depression, substance abuse, post-traumatic stress disorders, trauma-based issues, and attention deficit disorders.
What should a new client know about working with you?
During the initial intake, I will gain knowledge relating to a clients psycho-social and biological history. This will then support the development of goals, needs and education or resources that may support an individual in services. I like to provide a calm and peaceful environment to help build comfort and an individualized therapeutic rapport.

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

Kathleen is amazing! I wish I could have chosen more than 2 things that stands out about her. I felt comfortable with her from the very first day. She has helped me set goals and find solutions for things that I worry about. She has positively impacted my quality of life and my relationships with the people I love.
