Psychotherapist
CO
Hi, I’m Katie Quick (she/her), a licensed therapist, coach, and educator with over 20 years of experience helping people heal, reconnect with themselves, and create the life, love, and alignment they deeply deserve. I specialize in working with women and gender-expansive folks, LGBTQ+ adults, creatives, and highly sensitive people who are ready to break old patterns, shift their mindsets, and begin showing up fully in their lives and relationships. I received my master’s in counseling from Northwestern University, and over the years, I’ve worked in schools, wellness centers, and private practice settings across the country. I’m also the founder of the Magnetic Queer Collective, a community for LGBTQ+ individuals focused on healing, self-worth, and manifestation. My approach blends traditional evidence-based therapy with a strong foundation in mindfulness, inner child work, and neuroscience-backed manifestation practices. I believe that therapy should feel safe, empowering, and even a little magical — because when we understand our patterns and reconnect to who we really are, change becomes not only possible, but inevitable. If you’re looking for a therapist who will see you fully, hold space for your healing, and gently challenge you to grow, I’d be honored to walk alongside you.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Working with me is like having a therapist, coach, and compassionate truth-teller in your corner. I bring a warm, grounded presence into every session, and I meet you exactly where you are — with zero judgment and a deep respect for your lived experience. I work best with clients who are ready for true transformation. That doesn’t mean you need to have it all figured out — it means you're open to slowing down, exploring what’s beneath the surface, and beginning the journey back to your true self. I’ll help you name your patterns, heal your inner wounds, and build a deeper sense of self-trust so you can move through the world with clarity and confidence. This is a safe, affirming space for LGBTQ+ individuals, BIPOC clients, and anyone with a marginalized identity who is seeking a therapist who truly gets it. As a queer therapist, I know how important it is to feel seen and understood — and how rare that can be. I hold space for all parts of you to show up: the tender, the angry, the powerful, the confused. There is nothing too big, too messy, or too complicated to bring into the room. I don’t believe in “fixing” people. I believe in helping you remembe who you are — and creating a life that reflects your truth, your values, and your worth. Clients often tell me that therapy with me feels equal parts healing, empowering, and inspiring. I’ll ask thoughtful questions, reflect what I notice, offer tools, and cheer you on — while holding you accountable to the growth you say you want. I genuinely care for all of my clients and it's really important that you feel seen and understood in our time together.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

In our first few sessions, we’ll focus on building a strong foundation of trust. You’ll have space to share what’s been coming up for you, what you want to work on, and where you feel stuck. We’ll also explore your past experiences, belief systems, and patterns — not to stay stuck in the past, but to understand how it’s shaped the present so we can move forward with clarity. Once we’ve established that foundation, our work becomes highly collaborative. I tailor each session to your needs, combining reflection and insight with real-world tools and gentle accountability. Whether you're navigating anxiety, self-worth, relationships, identity, or life transitions, I’ll help you stay connected to your growth — not just in theory, but in practice. My clients often tell me they appreciate that I don’t just sit back and listen — I’m actively engaged. I’ll reflect patterns, offer challenges, and hold space for your emotions while also holding you accountable to the goals you’ve set for yourself. We’ll move at your pace, but we won’t stay stuck. Together, we’ll do the deep work of healing — whether that’s inner child work, nervous system regulation, mindset shifting, or exploring limiting beliefs — while also focusing on forward movement. If you're open to it, I also integrate manifestation tools and neuroscience-based strategies to help you build a life that feels aligned, empowered, and fully your own. A typical session includes check-ins, deep conversation, exploration, and tangible takeaways. You can expect to feel supported, seen, and gently stretched toward the version of yourself you’re ready to become.
