Hello! I am Kathryn Benton, a licensed professional clinical counselor (LPCC) with over 6 years of experience. I hold a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from the Wright Institute. I currently work in the field of substance use treatment. In my previous work life, I was a family literacy advocate and adult education teacher. I have extensive experience with immigrants, disabled adults, and those struggling with substance use disorders. I have also worked with individuals with histories of trauma and current struggles with anxiety and depression. I believe in a strengths-based, collaborative approach, working on the assumption that you are the expert on your own life. I am rooted in a deep sense of the spiritual nature of life and of this work. I look forward to meeting you and beginning a relationship that can lead to healing and positive change.
