"Hello, I'm Kathy. Life can be challenging, and sometimes we all need a little help to navigate through it. Whether you're dealing with work stress, anxiety, parenting and discipline problems, or marital issues, I'm here to support you. Some challenges develop over time and reach a crisis point, while others, like trauma, depression, or loss, are long-term conditions that require ongoing care. Through my educational background, personal insight, compassion, and problem-solving skills, I work with you on the issues or problems that are interfering with your happiness and quality of life. I deeply value the therapeutic relationship that is built with each individual. As a strengths-based therapist, my focus is on empowering you to live your best life. I offer guidance through this process to help you build the skills needed to overcome the obstacles you face, always considering your values, beliefs, and principles. In our sessions, I use a variety of therapy techniques, including solutions-focused therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and mindfulness. These approaches are tailored to meet your unique needs and help you achieve your goals. I hold an MA and am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor as well as a Licensed Professional Counselor. My specializations include anger management, anxiety, bipolar disorder, dementia, depression, family relationships, grief/bereavement, intimate/romantic relationships, life transitions, multicultural/diversity issues, OCD, PTSD, spirituality, stress, and trauma. I also offer SonderMind Video Telehealth for those who prefer or require remote sessions. Working with me means you'll find a compassionate and understanding partner in your journey toward better mental health. I strive to create a safe and supportive environment where you can explore your thoughts and feelings without judgment. Together, we'll work on strategies to improve your well-being and enhance your quality of life.
