Do you feel overwhelmed by work, relationships, or life in general? Are you unsure of where to start on your own journey of self-exploration? As if you're the passenger in the car guiding you through life unable to take control or paralyzed with indecision? Taking the step to start therapy is significant and I hope to create a space where you feel safe and encouraged to be brave. I am a licensed clinical social worker who has been working in the mental health field for over 10 years. I received my Masters degree from the University of Chicago and have experience working in a variety of outpatient settings and emergency services before my transition to private practice. Given both my professional and lived experience, I specialize in working with adults experiencing anxiety, low self-esteem, trauma, and relational issues.

Getting to know Katie Catalano

Do you feel overwhelmed by work, relationships, or life in general? Are you unsure of where to start on your own journey of self-exploration? What should a new client know about working with you?

My approach to therapy is open, respectful, and nonjudgmental. I hope to start by providing the space where individuals feel safe and I can learn more about you. The therapeutic space is where I believe we can be our most authentic selves. I hope my clients find the skills to manage life's stressors. I don't think that we, as a society, can be perfect but we can learn to deal with the imperfections. More often than not, I find we focus on the facts of a situation and struggle to name the emotions that come up. I work with my clients to hone in on their emotional experience in order to be truer to themselves, make better decisions and create meaningful change in their lives.

In-network insurances

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
