My name is Katie, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Licensed Clinical Alcohol & Drug Counselor (LCADC) in the state of New Jersey with over 7 years of professional experience. I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical and Counseling Psychology from William Paterson University and a Bachelor’s degree from Pennsylvania State University. I have helped a wide variety of clients in different settings with struggles like depression, anxiety, family conflict, homelessness, legal involvement, substance abuse, and trauma.
I believe strongly in the power of a healing relationship between the therapist and client. My style is warm, inviting, and not without humor. I will work with you to create and accomplish goals for your treatment. I use an eclectic approach to therapy, utilizing techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Positive Psychology, Solution-Focused Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). Above all, I believe that you are the expert in your own life, and my role is to help you identify and utilize your own strengths and experiences to successfully navigate life’s struggles.
