Katrina Gonzalez, LCSW

Psychotherapist
CA
Hello, my name is Katrina Gonzalez, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I meet my clients where they are and build on your strengths to help you live a fulfilling life. My approach I am a structural therapist who focuses on relationships, boundaries, conflict resolution, mindfulness, and self-care. I also provide solution-focused therapy, trauma-informed treatment, and psychodynamic therapy. My focus I work with individuals aged 18 to 60. I have experience with trauma survivors and those with anxiety and obsessive-compulsive disorders. I have worked with military personnel and their families, foster youth, transitional-aged youth, young adults, and older adults in continued care settings. My communication style I set the tone for my clients to feel comfortable and have a positive experience. My tone varies—calming for those needing empathy and grounding, and more elevated when using humor in sessions. My journey to mental healthcare I have been in the helping profession for fifteen years. I started as a nurse and transitioned to social work after discovering the importance of psychology and sociology in a person's life story and well-being. I earned my Master’s in Social Work from California State University, San Bernardino, with an emphasis on military psychology, inspired by growing up in a military family. I enjoy being the tool that helps clients find their light and strive to help others become their best selves, overcoming trauma and barriers affecting relationships, work, and lifelong goals. My goals for you I ask about attainable goals and the steps to achieve them. I revisit goals in nearly every session and help clients check off steps using motivational interviewing skills.
