What should a new client know about working with you?

I love hearing people’s stories, no matter how sad or challenging they may be. I enjoy helping others identify their unique strengths, as well as the coping skills they have used in the past that will help them manage today’s difficulties. I tailor my therapeutic interventions to each person—there is no cookie-cutter therapy with me. I work with each of my clients to find a way that makes sense for them to better cope with their challenges. I’m not afraid of tears, but I also believe in the healing power of humor.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

For the most part, I consider my clients to be the "boss" of their individual sessions.I am interested in hearing what has been going on in their lives during the week since our last session, and I especially like to hear if the life strategies we identified in previous sessions were helpful. We will talk about what the client would like to focus on during the upcoming week and what has been most helpful to them during this session I know what it is like to see a dream die and a life changed, but I have also seen countless lives that have been re-formed by loss and made even more meaningful. Please schedule a visit to see how my knowledge, skills, and experience might help you!
