I focus on supporting people struggling with anxiety, mood, and trauma/stressor disorders, as well as general life stress. I use a compassionate, person-centered, and trauma-informed approach to help you better understand and navigate the highs and lows that naturally happen throughout life. I will validate and gently challenge you at the same time as we move through therapy together at your pace. I look forward to meeting you, hearing your story, and walking alongside you as you reconnect to yourself. My approach I prioritize a client-centered approach, which means that we collaborate throughout the whole therapy process. People have more success when they play a part in choosing their goals and giving feedback. I truly value the bond between myself and my clients, and want you to feel like you have a choice in our work together. I also prioritize a trauma-informed approach, which means that I use information about trauma and its effects to help you be more understanding of and compassionate toward yourself. I use a blend of models like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Solutions-Focused Therapy (SFT), which all will help you to recognize and reframe unhelpful thoughts, manage emotions, and discover new ways to cope. I also provide many materials for you to use both during our meetings and on your own for homework. I appreciate feedback from clients and want you to know that this time is your time; if you've given something a fair shot and it isn't working, let me know. We'll figure it out together.
