Getting to know Keith Scherdt

Teenage years are stressful for both teens and their families. Is your teen struggling to make healthy choices? Are they angry for no apparent reason? Is your teen a bully, or are they being bullied? Parenting a teenager is challenging, and I specialize in counseling for teens to help navigate these difficulties. It can get better with the right support. I have been working with teens for many years and understand how tough this time can be for both the teen and the parent. Imagine your teen being able to express their thoughts and feelings without anger or resentment. I can help you build trust with your teen and improve communication within your family, reducing arguments through family counseling. I hold a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Seton Hall University, which equips me with the knowledge and skills to provide effective guidance and support tailored to teens and their families.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
