I help clients navigate challenges related to life-event transitions, family of origin struggles, trauma, depression, anxiety, and identity formation. My approach I utilize an eclectic framework comprised of Person-centered Counseling, Cognitive reframing/CBT, and Mindfulness. My focus I primarily work with adults and couples, especially those impacted by life transitions, narcissistic partner or parental abuse, and 1st or 2nd generation immigrants navigating cultural and societal pressures. My communication style I create a safe, non-judgmental space where I model active listening, helping clients feel open enough to share their authentic selves. My journey to mental healthcare I wanted to be a therapist because I felt there was a need in my community. I strive to be a safe and familiar space that dispels the idea that we should keep our worries and “problems” to ourselves. My goals for you I explore who each client is at their core in hopes of meeting them where they are, moving at their pace, helping them find meaning in their journey, and assisting them in moving closer to personal goals. Since goals can be daunting, I help break them down into smaller, more manageable pieces. My first session with you Clients should expect a relaxing and open conversation. I want each client to feel safe and “at home.”
