“I find Kelly to be a great listener and a therapist who can take an onslaught of thoughts and feelings from me, and then share back themes, patterns, and summaries that help me reframe things, consider possible next steps, and also allowing me to deflate/find relief from feeling heard.”

Getting to know Kelly Cunha

I'm Kelly! I'm a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) based in Massachusetts. I received my Master’s in Social Work from Boston University and have been practicing for 14 years. I love my job and hope my passion and enthusiasm come through. I have a poster in my office that says “Good morning. Eyes up. Hearts up. Mind sharp. Compassion on full blast. (sips coffee) Okay let’s go”—a favorite tweet of mine from the inimitable Lin Manuel Miranda. This mantra helps to center me and reminds me that there is almost nothing we can’t do with a little compassion (and some coffee!). I am passionate about social justice and anti-bias work, believe that humans do well when they can, and if they can’t, that by providing support, guidance, and unconditional positive regard, we can help them get back on track. I believe in a whole-person, community-centered approach in my work. My primary experience is working with children and adolescents and their caregivers on issues such as anxiety, ADHD, and depression. I also have experience with adults and am excited to work with people of all ages. My goal is to create a supportive environment where clients can grow, help them build up lagging skills, teach coping strategies, and partner with them on how to be their best selves.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
