If you are feeling stuck and unable to make changes in your life, you're not alone. Whether it’s in your professional life, your personal life, or both, feeling unsuccessful at navigating life can affect your mood, outlook, and overall health. Repeated frustration and disappointment may lead to depression, anxiety, sleep problems, and more. For 20 years, I have worked with people to help them unlearn negative behaviors and thinking patterns, replacing them with new habits and ideas that support the changes they want to make. Through experiencing success, most people find a new sense of accomplishment that improves their mood, enabling them to take better care of themselves physically, mentally, and emotionally. I hold a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from John F. Kennedy University, which has equipped me with the knowledge and skills to guide clients effectively through their challenges. Deciding to enter into therapy is an important step. I believe it can be a major turning point in your life. By working through a modality that considers your feelings, thoughts, and behaviors, you are very likely to achieve the quality of life you are seeking.

What should a new client know about working with you?

In our initial session, my clients are encouraged to consider it an opportunity to evaluate how they feel about working with me, both in terms of my professional background and their sense of how we will work together. Besides collecting information about your life and history, we will identify the issues that have compelled you to seek therapy, and what you want your life to be like, i.e., how will you know when you have met those goals. As therapy progresses, clients will get homework, some of it is session to session, some will happen over several sessions. We will continue to assess and process how you feel about your progress, adjusting for your needs as we go.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
