Hi there, I'm Kelly Grimes, LCMFT! I provide a trusting, compassionate, respectful, and non-judgmental approach to help clients feel at ease in their therapeutic setting. My approach I use several therapeutic approaches, including Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, emotionally focused therapy, solution-focused therapy, and psychodynamic theories. My focus I work with trauma, anxiety, depression, gender confusion, marital issues, family dysfunction, child abuse, domestic violence, interpersonal issues, self-esteem, and grief. I do not handle custody issues or court recommendations. My communication style I create a comfortable, soothing, and safe environment for my clients. My journey to mental healthcare For the past three decades, I have worked in the mental health field, serving diverse populations and facing a wide range of challenges. I have been a director for a foster agency and a level 14 group home for adolescents with dual diagnoses. I have also worked in a mental health hospital, non-profit organizations, and private practice, providing individual, couples, family, and group services. Currently, I offer telehealth sessions to clients aged 12 and older. Education I hold a Master’s in Psychology from National University and a Master’s in Counseling along with a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Redlands. My goals for you I am person-centered and focused on your unique needs. My first session with you I will disclose confidentiality, review the policy on missed sessions, and complete an assessment.
