Getting to know Kelly Hays

I have been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker-Supervisor (LCSW-S) in the State of Texas since 1989. I hold a Master's in Social Work from Our Lady of the Lake University. I am a retired Navy Hospital Corpsman and Army Social Work Officer veteran, with over 30 years of experience serving in Family Advocacy, Hospice, Outpatient Mental Health, Juvenile Probation, Inpatient Mental Health, Physical Rehabilitation, and Veteran Services. I have also served as a ?Life-After-Loss? facilitator for the American Cancer Society and as a ?Stephen Ministry Leader? in two Lutheran congregations. Additionally, I have taught Sociology at Park University, Social Work at UTSA, and Medical Terminology at St. Philips College. Currently, I supervise social workers pursuing LCSW licensure in Texas. My approach to therapy is eclectic, drawing on a variety of modalities to best meet the needs of my clients. I am a professional member of CHADD (Children and Adults with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder), NASW (National Association of Social Workers), and the National Association of Cognitive Behavioral Therapists.
